Prosperity can be described as many things; most often when it is mentioned the average prson will think of money. However, prosperity can be health, love, healing, or whatever. We can't limit GOD.
I have searched the word concerning prosperity and found that it was listed 32 times in the bible. I chose Proverbs 13:21 from the NIV version of the bible and it states: Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous.
How many times have you felt that the very person who is doing all the wrong things seem to be blessed?
The external appearance of a situation can easily be discouraging because it appears taht things are wonderful but in essence that very person is struggling. Well they have money? That may be true but are they sleeping at night? Don't get caught up in trying to decipher what a situation is with your natural eyes because things aren't always what they appear.
The other scripture I chose was Job 20:21 from the NIV version of the nible and it states: Nothing is left for him to devour; his prosperity will not endure.
How many times have you paid all your bills and out of the blue something breaks, some unexpected bill pops up, or some great need?
Tithe, offering, and obedience lead to rebuking the devour. We have to speak back to the devil because he delights in seeing us struggle and try to do things without GOD. I have come to realize that giving is a true act of obedience not just my money but my time. Committing to attending bible study and Sunday service on a weekly basis. Making up my mind not to forfeit the DESTINY God has created me to walk in.
Let us take it to prayer:
Father in the name of Jesus, I commit myself to a life of giving, tithing & offering, and living obediently before you. I walk into my divine inheritance and take my place as an heir of the kngdom of the almighty GOD.
Jesus you are worthy of all honor and praise, I come before you as a testimony of my faith and I give you my first fruits of my increase. Lord I walk in abundance knowing all my needs are met according to your riches and glory. Prosperity is chasing me and the more I sow the more I reap. I am in a place of sowing and reaping at the same time.
Satan I bind you from my finances, I rebuke you as the devour. I give you no place in my finances according to 1 Peter 5:8.
Lord I decree that I am a good steward over my finances, that I buy only what I need, and save what is left, I pay my bills on time, and my name is good with my creditors.
It is written: Father I thank you in the name of Jesus that I have victory over lack and the devourer! Hallelujah!!
